Michael is still plugging away at Nikolas' tree house. The roof is framed and in need of it's shingles. The first wall is almost on. We've gone through a few screws and screwdriver bits for the drill though. And as there are 4 more days left to June, I don't think he'll meet his deadline. Too bad nobody took me up on my bet - I would have won.
This is my house - during the summer. I've been trying to take pictures during the four seasons to do a scrapbook page. I think I missed out on spring though. We didn't really have much of a spring. It was either too hot or not cold enough to be spring. It's quite a miracle that the grass is still green. Two of the towns beside us have been put on water restrictions and are no longer allowed to water their lawns. I suppose that means that they really can't fill their pools either, eh?
We went to a neighborhood BBQ last night. It was entertaining to see all the Daddy's watching the younger kids while us Mummy's chin wagged! I played neighborhood physical therapist and did some therapizing on a few of the neighbors. We were fortunate to get a bit of a reprieve from this heat and enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Apparently we are about to hit an Illinois record for the most number of consecutive days above 90 for the month of June.
