I'm a little late getting this posted, I apologize. 2013 seems to have taken off at break neck speed and I feel as though I'm eternally behind the 8 ball... Not aided by the fact that I lost my monthly crop to (yet another) swim meet this past weekend. More on that another time.
Sunday was reveal day (yet another amazing reveal) over at Creative Scrappers. Sketch #244 by Heather Leopard. It's funny, I'm always so pleased with the layout I've done based on the sketch but then when I see the reveal and the amazing work the rest of the team has done I think mine pales in comparison!
Here's my take on Heather's sketch;
This picture of Mia was taken in the blazing Florida heat during Spring Break. We were at Clearwater Aquarium, Mia's dream come true. The constant smile and look of awe on her face was precious.
Rather than the paint or mist splatter in the background, I went with texture paste.
I used some of the Jillibean banner stickers as the banners as called for in the sketch.
If not doing a set manufacturer challenge or design team project, I really like to mix and match lines and manufacturer's. There is an immense amount of satisfaction for me of the mixing and matching of color, pattern and that personal element of "I did it", there is no other combination like mine out there. Silly? Perhaps, I find joy it.
Be sure to head over to the blog and see what the other ladies have done! You'll be amazed!
