Hello bloggy friends!! Quickly popping in to share a layout I created using one of Juliana Michaels' sketches that she created for The Paper Bakery. When I created for Creative Scrappers, I always know Juliana's sketches. There are some sketches that you just know who created them without looking at the name.
This actually turned out to be quite different than the original plan. I even went down the path with a completely different background paper. It looked amazing on the Core that I had it on. Until I inked it. And added twine. It was all just a tad too much. Fortunately, it all came off the Core without much ado and was happily placed upon a new home.
My happy mix of papers; Echo Park, Little Yellow Bicycle, American Crafts and Studio Calico. I love how the swirls from the Little Yellow Bicycle complimented the doily punches.
This layout is light on the embellishments. With the use of all the colors and patterns, adding much more would have been overkill.
You can't see the full detail in the left hand picture but you get the idea of this being the picture that went on our 2011 Christmas card. I have a Christmas album that I add to yearly with the Christmas card and a picture of the family that holiday season on the opposing page. I try to add the envelope with the stamp of the year as well as the letter (if there was one). That said, I didn't want to put the full Christmas card on another layout.
Thanks Juliana and Paper Bakery for the inspiration!
