Hello there! Welcome to my blog for those of you who are finding me for the first time and welcome back to those of you who are familiar with Life's Trivialities. Today you are hopping with Pebbles Inc and each of us on the design team are showcasing a project of our choosing created using the Pebbles Basics line. We really wanted to show you just how versatile this line is...Nothing like the basics!
I created this layout of my daughter on a recent summer vacation with a "puff ball" as they are referred to in our house. I used the colors in her shirt and the aqua of her earrings as the foundation for my color palate for the layout. The Basics color palate make creating such a layout so quick and easy as there is no color matching necessary, everything coordinates perfectly!
The chipboard pieces didn't have a matching aqua piece for my banners so I used one of the phrase and sentiment cardstock stickers and backed it with my own chipboard. Doing so enabled me to have the same dimension for three of the banner pieces.
The sentiment printed on the front of the library pocket didn't work for this layout so I created a posey of flowers using coordinating paper. Who doesn't love washi? A hint of washi just wraps everything up so nicely.
If you look closely in the larger picture, you'll see three complimentary Candy Dots. I didn't have an orange one - I used a Copic marker and colored a white Dot. Just a little tip when you need the perfect matching embellishment! The other Pebbles team members have come up with some really, really amazing projects too. Here's a sampling...
