Using an accordian card die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, I created this fun Easter home decor. The die cuts, panel by panel thus enabling you to cut different color backgrounds. Each of the backgrounds is not only a different color but a different cardstock as well. I used "plain" (there's nothing plain about Core!) and pre embossed of various types.
The oval "egg" of each panel is cut using white cardstock and individually decorated using more die cut cardstock and some stamps.
The tulip is embossed for some fun texture to the flower. I then shaded it with my Gelatos for a hint of ombre color and shading. The outer edge of this panel is scored and sanded to frame the letter.
Each of the letter ovals has a hint of color around the edge for some more color.
I didn't do much to the card bases of these inner letters as the accordian folds don't really allow for the seeing of much detail. I also wanted to leave the emphasis on the contents of each "egg".
Lovely little nest made of twine!
