Another week without blogging... Sigh... Honestly, how many of you read blogs these days? I'm really struggling with whether or not to keep this thing up. After all, I pay for this "privilege". But if I'm just writing to hear the sound of the keys click and nobody cares, then why bother?
A few days ago I posed a challenge to the Cocoa Daisy community! You don't need to use a Cocoa Daisy kit to play and there is a prize involved! Be sure to check out this Cocoa Daisy blog post for additional details; http://www.cocoadaisy.com/blog/cocoa-daisy/24010/designers-challenge-june-stitch-it-up/ and find out where to post your project. The challenge is to stitch it up! Not just any stitching but hand stitching. Easy enough, right?
I sew on my pages a lot, some times machine stitching, some times hand stitching. Mostly machine stitching. I believe a lot of that has to do with sheer laziness. It's much easier to turn the machine on, press the pedal down and guide the paper around. But I do really love the look of hand stitching on my pages. Especially here with the quilted look of the paper.
These mix of Pink Paislee and Pinkfresh together is just perfect. Perfect for my Mother's Day capture of the kids and I!
The paper itself is great but when you layer on embellishments and stamp here and there, it just adds that little "umph" to kick it up a notch.
Be sure to check out the challenge and take a stab into your paper and play along!
