February is fast approaching so it's high time I shared a little love! A lovely layout of my lovely husband created using the layout January Cocoa Daisy kits. My starting point for this layout was the typewriter. I saved that DITL 4x6 card specifically so that I could have the pictures popping out from the top of a piece of paper. Do you find a particular piece of paper or embellishment that is the driving point of your projects and creative process that things revolve around too?
The softness that the strip of vellum adds to this layout is just perfect! That typewriter is sublime! I could probably use that over and over again! When I first saw this collection from Pink Paislee and the flowers, my initial reaction was "what on earth am I going to do with those things?"... If you know me you will know I am not a girly girl; pink, flowers and I generally do not get along. It is rare that you will find such things on my layouts. Yet those two carnations (I think that's what they are...) were very necessary to balance the length of the photos and fill out the space a bit. And they work - the color scheme matches, they match the love theme, they serve multiple purposes!
Another exclusive digital cut file. And, a third flower for the trio. I am a fan of triplicate in my layouts and the visual triangle they create for balance. And the title of many fonts. I have seen a lot of that lately and am quite the fan. It allows one to title one's work with something more exciting than "lovely" or "love" - you can voice your sentiment as title work.
Those blue eyes!! Swoon!! He's a good man by husband. I am truly blessed to have him in my court, by my side, in my life, helping me raise our children, supporting me.
If you haven't already seen all the lovely projects that have come from this kit and been inspired to make a worthwhile purchase, be sure to join us. The February kit should have arrived on my door step on Wednesday and I cannot wait to share with you the loveliness to come! Each month with Cocoa Daisy gets better and better!
