I had a TOTAL adorable moment today that I just have to share!! Mia takes a dance class on Monday that's a combo ballet and tap class. She LOVES dance! I don't know for sure and I'm not going to limit her but I believe this is going to be her "thing". You know that something that you are good at and get much joy and pleasure from? Dance and music her her "things", she owns them and gets such confidence from them.
Today we decided to put her hair in a pony. All good dancers have pony tails, you know? Well, I looped the pony tail holder over in such a way that the pony was folded in half and it looked like a bun. She instantly KNEW it felt like a bun. Very proudly she turned to Michael who happened to be home for lunch and said "See my bundle Daddy?" with such pride!!
She told everybody at dance about her "bundle", her first bundle!! And, here she is, in all her glory, with her first "BUNdle"!! And doesn't she look like a real ballerina? Too bad Mum isn't used to this girly business and doesn't make very neat bundles!! LOL!!
BTW ... I searched your blog for the post about your January Technique Challenge ... which was totally awesome! I've posted my layout on my blog today ...using your flower technique ... and I also took the liberty of using your tutorial photos explaining how to do the flower. I've included a link to your blog. Just wanted to let you know that I did that. I don't get a lot of 'hits' on my blog so I'm not sure if you'll get a whole lot of traffic from it. But, just in case you do ... you'll know where it came from. hehehe Hope you don't mind but I thought your flower was so adorable and the page that went with it ... well, I just couldn't help myself. I just HAD to share! xoxox

I can so totally relate to your dance thing! It's just so fun when they finally get enough hair to PUT in a bun! bbwwwahahaha I love doing the girl's hair for dance. Especially for recital and competitions. It's kinda sad when they get old enough to do their OWN bun-dle! RheAnna does her own now ...
Here's a tip. Use 3 hair ties. Do what you did for the first bundle but pull the hair through a little bit more. Then, add another hair tie and pull the bundle through that one looping it again. Depending on how long her hair is ... you can do it again. Creates and AWESOME looking bun ... with no pins! I didn't come up with this on my own. RheAnna learned it from the 'big girls' at the studio. xoxox

Oh, how CUTE! Both her AND the bundle. Unfortunately, I don't have hair enough for one of those cute bundles. My kids told me I'm too old for long hair. :-(
