In photographing this, I realized that I wasn't accurate in last posts assessment of this layout. It really isn't a Jillibean layout... There is Jillibean in there, but there's just as much "other" as there is Jillibean. It's a doctored up 3 Scrappy Boys September kit, how's that?
The mini book page, Saturday washi, chipboard letter and the Jillibean all came from the 3 Scrappy Boys kit. The rest, is suppliment. My usual, a little of this, some of that!
The new Jillibean hexagon stickers are fantastic! I think I bought every sheet so that I have all colors.
I covered the Maya Road chipboard letter with crackle paint and then distressed it to get it to match the nearby shades better.
We are huge PotBelly's sandwich fans in this family! Every time we go up to northern VA, we find the nearest PotBelly's.Honestly, I'm not sure whether it's the sandwiches or the shakes or the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies that we love most! They are all pretty yummy!
Mia and did some community service this morning and volunteered at the first Richmond half Ironman. The company I work for, OrthoVirginia, was a sponsor of the event and sought employees to man the water stations of the run portion. I figured it was a good opportunity to begin teaching about doing for others in ways that didn't involve money. We stood at our station filling cups, passing out liquids and various forms of energy or protein then picking up the trash from said items for 5 hours. Fortunately our station had other kids present and helping. They did a fantastic job!
We were situated at the Virginia War Memorial. I had never been here before. Definitely need to go back and visit properly. Being a Sunday, nothing else was open and they really didn't want us roaming around the memorial itself. We had a great view of the river (yes, it is known as The river; the James river, that is!) and the "city" itself.
The first runner to visit our station took the first drink from Mia! She was tickled pink! Those are her pink capri's.
That blue back with "crew" written on it is the Midget with her cup of cold liquid. It got warm after a while enabling up to remove the sweatshirts we had to don in the cooler morning hours.
A lovely post about introducing our little ones to giving - in a very real and practical sense. Super photos!

What a simply charming layout - you have a good photographer's eye. Great shots both on and off the page.

The mist was worth the wait! Is that the same background paper you had on Friday?
