I am really beginning to think I might become more of an 8 1/2 x 11 scrappy gal than a 12 x 12... I've had a ton of fun creating on this rectangular canvas lately! I did discover that a letter size package is MUCH cheaper to send off for publication than an odd sized 12 x 12; that is incentive right there! But then there's all the scraps generated from cutting down 12 x 12 paper...
Some how, some where, some way, I stumbled across this digi shop called In a Creative Bubble... I think I may have seen it somewhere associated with Studio Calico as the designer, Geralyn Sy, is on their Design Team. But I don't follow Studio Calico so who knows... Anyway, I feel in LOVE (swoon) with her Christmas bundle and had to have it. And it's featured here on this layout along with some Doodlebug.
It's almost as if Geralyn made those very items just for this Doodlebug paper! They match perfectly!
Just a quick blurb of journaling visible. The bulk of the story is underneath the smaller photo. That red bracket "space" is actually a card base from Doodlebug. It creates the perfect little niche for a longer, lengthier journal spot. Inside are the complete list of cookies baked, about our experience and a bit of how it all began.
Had you ever heard of In a Creative Bubble? I think Geralyn is a rockstar with digi/printable elements! She has a new fan, that's for sure! Not only do I love her shoppe goodies but her layouts are incredible too! Definitely check out her shop and blog, you won't regret it!
Love this layout. Perfect bright Christmas colors and total unique use of the doodlebug card.

Thank-you for the links - this page is just stunningly bright and cheerful! I love how you manage to combine your papers and elements so effortlessly. You are really getting the hang of the rectangular format!
