I have a double page Project Life "style" layout to share with you today created using the From Me to You collections by Pebbles. Further down the post is a tutorial on how to create a confetti shaker box for your Project Life projects.
Not only is it Project Life but it's a two page spread to share with you today!! The colors in From Me to You are just perfect for the theme, Crab Fest. The left hand page in closer detail:
The envelopes that are a part of the From Me to You collection are perfect for allowing just enough of a picture to pop out for emphasis on a particular part as I've done there. The index tab on the picture invites you to remove the picture for further story and journaling on the back. Do you remember those Distress Stain splats I spoke of a few posts back? It's subtle but there are a few on the "The Good Life" journaling card.
The right hand side in detail:
There, on the left, is the confetti shaker box I made! It's just perfect! The conversation bubbles in with the sequins and other confetti! Fun, fun, fun! I am still so perfectly pleased with myself for that little touch! LOL! Still makes me smile... Doesn't take much to please me though!
So, wanna learn how to make one?! Here goes!
Gather your supplies;
- 4 x 3 inch Polaroid frame cut from Written Paper
- Conversation bubbles fussy cut from Hello Paper
- vellum (4x3 inches)
- transparency film (4x3 inches)
- sequins (I also used some flower sequins from Doodlebug)
- sewing machine
First, take your vellum and sprinkle the conversation bubbles and sequins.
Overlay the transparency film, then the Polaroid frame cut from Written Paper. I did not put vellum on as the top layer as things were very cloudy that way. The transparency film allows you better viewing of your goodies inside.
Machine stitch around the border.
Viola! A confetti shaker box for your Project Life projects! The conversation bubbles really make this a fun touch!
Thanks for stopping in! If you make something with my tutorial, I'd love for you to share! Here, in the comments or on my FaceBook page. Anywhere, just let me know!
Such a fun layout! The shaker box and title block are my favorite elements. So festive!
