A few days ago, I took Mia and her BFF to a local water park. It was the perfect day! It wasn't hot and humid as most Richmond summer days tend to be. The water was cool but not cold. The pool was busy but not packed. The girls had a blast! This is their day together! This is what summer is for Mia; hanging with her friend by the pool, enjoying every moment, as the quote says.
I am smitten with Pink Paislee's Solstice collection! It is just perfect for me; little did they know it but they created this collection for me and our summer swimming pictures! I am usually a bright, vibrant color kind of gal but these softer colors have a vibrant pop to them. The navy and watermelon-y red really give it some pizazz, don't you think?
A few of the chevron halves were fussy cut and folded back to create this effect and create arrows, revealing the Core'dinations Spotted underneath. The opening left fun places to tuck in an embellishment while stickers hold another flap open".
A few posts back I comment on how horrid photographing those golden bits of goodenss was. Well, I think I nailed it, don't you? Love, love, love that summer shimmer! The trick is to get the elements at the right angle and have the light reflect off them at just the right angle!
All the bits and pieces that accompany this (and every) Pink Paislee collection are just perfect. I am very purposeful in which exact bits I use and I couldn't contain myself on this layout! So many of them help share the story! Especially that rub on quote!
I know many of you are probably gearing up for the return to school if you have children. We have another two weeks before we return to our regularly scheduled programming! Thanks for stopping in today!
This is really interesting how you have laid this page out. Nicely done.
