Welcome! It's that time of month again; that time to hop with Practical Scrappers and BUST that stash!
You should have arrived here from Christine's blog. Wasn't her Doodlebug layout awesome?! She sure can work that Doodlebug, old and new! If you haven't seen that yet, please start at the beginning of the hop at the Practical Scrappers blog and work your way here.
Today I'm sharing with you a layout I created using an older Fancy Pants line, Trend Setter. The colors of this collection really grabbed me. I usually prefer to work with much brighter, more vibrant colors but I really liked the salmon/lobster, navy blue and teal together.
The contrasting diagonal stripes with the stripes of the lighthouse were fun to play with. The horizontal penants balances out the contrasting elements.
I love those little baggies. I have hoarded them and use them sparingly! Do you have something from a particular collection that is your absolute favorite? Only to be used on special occasions?
I really like that title on the angle. It's different. And that touch of Little B washi to highlight and draw your attention to the title just makes me smile.
Love the flair too! But I hate the bulk! I always end up flattening as much as I can by removing the bulky pop dots behind the flair and just using flat glue dots.
That's it from me for today. I hope you are inspired to reach back beyond those new collections and see some goodness is something a little more "antique". Dust off the cobwebs and bust that stash!
Today's hop order looks like this;
From here you are moving on down the list and heading over to Bobbi's blog! She's got another great stash busting project to share with you!
Thanks for stopping in today!
Those stripes with your lighthouse are brilliant! and the little flags work so well too. You have a great eye for detail.
