Hey there! Thanks for popping in today. How have things been in your neck of the woods? Are you enjoying the fall weather? It's been crazy here... The rain over the weekend really did a number on me. We are fortunate to not have been affected like those in South Carolina but still! Enough already! The past two days of sunshine and blue skies were SO welcome!
Another one of my "little of this, little of that" layouts created using Bella Blvd goodies. I went for the red, white and blues to coordinate with the socks. I literally used what ever bits and pieces of collections I don't even remember because I had my whole Bella Blvd stash out for the grabbing!
These socks... One our family get away to North Carolina this summer, while picking up provisions for the week, Nikolas stumbled upon these superhero socks. He has a bit of a thing for socks. It all began with the kokopeli's that my Mum brought him from Arizona... Well he bugged us all week about going back to Walmart, an hours drive away, to get more socks. It was his one desire, the thing he wanted most all week. $4 pair of super hero socks. And he wore his beloved socks on to Charleston on the air craft carrier where Mum got some great sock shots!
The title work of this layout tells a bit of a second story. Not one that goes with the pictures or journaling. I wanted a super hero quote to match the super hero socks. This one, of the ones I found was most fitting in that Nikolas is in the throes of those middle school years where he's battling peer pressure, fitting in, finding himself and his place in the world. I love the message this quote conveys. Perfect for this phase in Nikolas' life.
And that, my friends, is my share for the day. You ARE stronger than you think you are. Perfect!
It is indeed perfect! And what a lovely 'Mum' thing to do, to encourage one's son at a challenging time. There are so many lovely touches on here ...
