I promised more My Mind's Eye when my updated stash arrived and so here is another layout! I actually began this the day after Thanksgiving and waited for some more embellies to gussie it up to my liking.
The fall harvest cut file was the foundation piece that I built everything around. It's a bit difficult to tell from the full layout picture but the leaves aren't fully adhered to the page thus giving some depth and movement to the page.
You can see that better here in the close up picture. And the golden touch to the My Mind's Eye My Story embellies - SWOON!
I just LOVE those letters from Just Nick! I bought this Handcut Letters 2 file and just used the "outside" for the solid letters. Using a black pen, I free handed an inner border for some pop against the page.
I find that there has been a lot more mixed media on my pages lately. I've gotten braver. As my comfort level grows with "flicking" mist and splatting Gelatoes, I worry less about ruining the page. There is journaling on this page too - another of my new favs, hidden journaling. See the black polka dots on white, just to the right of the pic? That's a glassine bag. Nestled in the bag is a journal card from the collection that I trimmed down to fit with my story.
This has got to be one of new favorite layouts! Thanks for stopping in today. Be sure to come back later this week for part two of my December planner with Simple Stories!
