A few weeks past, I was looking for some inspiration to get the creative juices flowing while at a 3 day scrapbooking retreat. I always look for challenges that inspire me step out of the box and try something new. It's easy to get stuck in a rut and I don't want all my pages to look the same. I found a Becky Fleck sketch challenge over at A Cherry On Top that I really liked and had just the pictures for!
Here's the sketch;
And here's my take on it;
I used Claus & Co from Simple Stories to create this layout. Between the sketch and the collection, things just flew together lickety split and the creative process took no time at all! I have always loved Simple Stories, I cannot tell a lie. This collection is just sublime! Each year, the collections get better and better.
Last weekend Mia and I went to Stranges, our local nursery, and paid a visit with the man in red. We found him roaming the store and he stopped to chat with Mia. We had a nice long chat. I even took a selfie with Santa! (I'm saving that for another layout)
There are so many fabulous touches to this collection! These shimmery red letters and photo overlay sticker are but a few of my favorite things!
Yet more shimmer and bling! One can never have enough or either around the holidays!
Alas, I missed the deadline to submit! No worries, I am pleased as pie with the layout and am happy to add it to the album!
Aren't these colours just perfect for your photos ... lovely page.
