A simple layout from a Simple Set from Simple Stories today! That's a lot of simple.

This is created using one of four new Simple sets released by Simple Stories recently. This collection/kit is called You & Me. It's lovely, it's Valentine's. This is as close as I get to doing Valentine's day... Just another day. An afternoon on the ferris wheel at National Harbor. It was fun and the views were gorgeous. The kids were there with us.

As with all Simple Stories collections, there are some great 4x3 cards! I love to use them on my layouts as embellishment and support to the story that I'm telling. This man, my best friend, by confidant, my everything is truly my world. I don't want to live without him. I don't want to think about having to live without him. He feeds my heart and soul so fully!

I had a lovely conversation with a 70 year old patient of mine today about marriage and family and what it has evolved to. How so many people reach a broken point in their marriage and throw it away like a broken toy rather than investing the time, effort and agony into fixing it. We aren't perfect, nor has our marriage been perfect. But we work hard to fix the broken parts.

That soft yellow in amongst the pink, red and robin's egg blue is perfect! Just the little splash to catch the eye!

That red edged label is fussy cut from a 6x4 element and contains my journaling. It's hidden because it's private. I often tell things as they are, life is too short to beat around the bush. But my heart is on my sleeve on this one and not for everybody to see. Sorry. And, I like all the white space on this layout. I didn't want the journaling to be distracting. Have you heard that one before?! LOL!!
