Do you do much reflecting in your layouts? It doesn't have to be serious or in great depth but sometimes a little backwards looking is spot on. I have a designer's challenge up on the Cocoa Daisy blog today and I'm challenge you to reflect. The name of this month's Cocoa Daisy kit is Through the Looking Glass and there are some great Alice themed Day in The Life cards, patterned papers and other fun goodies in the kits. You don't have to work along the Wonderland theme, it was just the inspiration for my challenge. Be sure to check out the details HERE.
We are the proud owners of a new vehicle! This picture of the four of us during a test drive as reflected back in the drivers spy mirror. It's fun to find interesting ways to take photos and rather than pull out the selfie stick, this reflection was a nice variation of a selfie. There were many colors in our various uncoordinated outfits nor did the colors coordinate with the kit colors so I converted the photo to black and white. The SUV roof could have been cropped but leaving the photo uncropped, at its original 4x6 size allowed me space on which to journal.
Lots of cutting on this layout; fussy cutting, digital die cutting, patterned paper cutting, you name it, I cut it! When you subscribe to Cocoa Daisy kits you get links to downloadable cut files and printables that coordinate with each monthly kit! There were twenty something cut files this month!!
Another cut file poking out from the bottom of the page. As well as a peek of the exclusive washi that Cocoa Daisy has been creating! This was part of the planner kit but I begged and pleaded. It's just sublime!! There's nothing like it!
I hope you have a chance to play along with the challenge! It's a fun one and it's really rather open ended.
That's a neat shot and a great challenge. Useful tip to convert to black and white so you use other colours.
