Up in the Cocoa Daisy blog today is our monthly stamping features. The design team ladies and I are sharing our creations that we created using the June "Walden Pond" stamps. I'm sharing mine here on the ol' blog.
Between the stamps in the Cocoa Daisy kits and designing for The Project Bin, a stamp company, I've gotten over my fear of stamping on projects. Forced to in many ways. It's been a great challenge and I'm pleased with the nudge to step out of my comfort zone. Not only have I stamped on this layout with the great stamps from the Day In The Life kit but I've included mixed media ON my layout. AND used a picture of myself too boot! Shock! Horror! Getting really brazen! LOL!
The "me" as this layout is titled, is actually "meh" from the acetate word pack by Pinkfresh included in the scrapbook kit. I wanted to use the contents of the kit and not bring in other elements. I trimmed off the "H" and had the perfect title for my layout!
The overall circles of the layout are inspired by the patterned paper from the Pink Paislee collection which has the "plain" circles on the front with sentiments within the circles on the back. I used my circle punch to punch out circles from both sides. The label stamps from the Cocoa Daisy stamp set include my journaling which has bits and pieces of random facts about me at the time that the picture was taken. I want to try and do this through out the year.
Be sure to stop by the Cocoa Daisy blog today and see how the other ladies used the stamps in the kits and the main scrapbooking kit stamps. I covet those!!
