Last night was the reveal of the August Cocoa Daisy kits! Are you a subscriber? Did you get lots of great goodies? These kits never cease to blow me away!
Over the next few weeks I'll share various creations but in the mean time, I have a mix of various past kits to share with you. I don't want to waste anything and save (yes, hoard would be appropriate too...) every little bit. I took some of the bits and bobs and created this layout.
It's not often that I scrap myself. Largely because there aren't many pictures of myself. I'm sure you are familiar with the all too familiar story of being the family photographer and record keeper. Thanks to cell phones, there are many more selfies available for scrapping and preserving those memories. I just need the ones that don't include quadruple chins! LOL!! This happens to be a post hair cut picture, the kids were at school and Michael at work. I was able to just "be me", hair bits and all!
I layered bits and pieces in horizontal strips of various widths and length and just stuck them down on the page. The odd gap needed filling so I gave a swipe of the old watercolor brush and loved the way it kind of fell together. Yellow is NOT one of my colors but it sure looks great with the gold and black and white on this page.
Have you scrapped yourself lately? Do you do? Make sure you do, you are important too! And your family will love seeing you and reading your memories of yourself! I guarantee it!
