Hey there! This month's Cocoa Daisy sketch challenge has been posted and I would love for you and anybody else you know who loves a good sketch challenge to play along. Be sure to check out the sketch on the Cocoa Daisy blog HERE. You do not have to be a Cocoa Daisy subscriber or use Cocoa Daisy kits to play along. It would be a good way to potentially earn some money to spend on Cocoa Daisy goodies to try out however!
I was pretty literal with the sketch; circle, single photo and journaling around the edge of the circle. I did however choose to use a circle border rather than a large circle. Doing so enabled me to use more patterned paper and embellishments without such a "busy" look.
This picture was a selfies taken as I sat outside the Lodge on a giant rock watching the sunrise. The only sunrise I saw on our vacation, I'm glad that I traipsed out of bed. As we were in John Muir country, it was fitting to use one of his quotes as the title for this page. Fortunately, the kits came with a plethora of alphas making it more "fun" to do a longer title.
Also included in the September Cocoa Daisy kit, Lunch Break, is that ribbon with the pink embroidered line through it. I'm not much of a ribbonista so I made a point of trying to include it in my project. Initially the ribbon wrapped the whole way around the circle border. It was a bit much. I like that smaller touch just as it is.
Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you have a chance to play along with us over at Cocoa Daisy!
