Good morning!! It is a GREAT morning here in Virginia with lovely crisp Fall weather!
A few days ago the November sketch challenge for Cocoa Daisy went live! You can see the sketch and all the details HERE. We love when people play along with these challenges and you do not need to use Cocoa Daisy kits to participate. There is a $10 voucher to the store up for grabs!
I created this based on the sketch with my November Sprinkles kits'
Where the journaling lines are scattered in trio around the layout, I substituted fussy cut strips of patterned paper and stitched them down the center. Just as they appeared on the patterned paper. I recreated the look on a different background.
I used a few of the exclusive stickers scattered through out the layout and those fantastic large brush font Thickers from Dear Lizzy on the layout. I'm not usually one to use pink on a boy layout but it works so well to bring out the blue of the sky and the seat cushions. It's a subtle pink too, kind of peachy really.
You can see the machine sewn strips better above. I tucked a few of the DITL card behind the photos for some layering. Super simple layout that packs a big punch really. All based on a sketch!
Have you interpreted a sketch layout? Given this month's Cocoa Daisy sketch a go! You won't be disappointed!
I like the way you've stitched those strips - so very effective and stylish.
