Popping in today to really just share my layout and the process video. This is my first share of projects created with the February Cocoa Daisy kits! The kits are so bright and colorful! Some much needed color thanks to gloom that we have had around these parts lately.
This layout has ONE, just one, sheet of patterned paper on it, that's it! Even that is minimal really. I just used it to back the photo and create a mat, you barely see the print. The remainder of the layout is acrylic paint, my awesome digital cut file that I created and die cuts and other goodies that come with the ktis. Pretty awesome to create such a "full" layout and only use a smidge of patterned paper.
The kit came with buttons and sequins, perfect soft, round embellishments that enabled me to stick with the turquoise/water theme that I set out to establish on the layout. I don't know the last time I used a button on a layout but it certain worked here. The acrylic paint I smooshed (technical term here ladies!) on the background was watered down so that I could create some splatters in the white spaces.
I was able to use the sequins as water droplets to further enhance my theme.
I handstitched around the circle photos in order to provide a similar "border" as the width of the circles in the cut file. It provides a fun addition to the layout.
You can see how this layout comes together in the above process video! Thanks for stopping in today! See you soon!
