Stopping in on this dreary, rainy day with a quick card share! I'm all about quick when it comes to card creations, nothing too time consuming from this chick. After all, it's all about the sentiment and there's no better collection of stamp sentiments than those from The Project Bin!
The stamp for today's card came from the "Autumn's Calling" stamp set. Just perfect for this time of year.

Fall is officially here! The weather is cooling down, the leaves are slowly but surely beginning to change! My absolute favorite time of year! AND Starbucks has leaf shaped gift cards. What better way to share your love of pumpkin spice latte's than with a leaf shaped gift card and a homemade card created using a sentiment stamp from The Project Bin. Better yet today is National Coffee Day so this would be THE perfect gift for that coffee loving friend!
I used a sentiment from the Autumn's Calling set from The Project Bin. I love that the stamp sets are accompanied by not only the sayings but also by "support" elements, such as the leaves. With such wonderful sentiments, it really doesn't take much to create a thoughtful and creative card.
I really should have picked up more of those leaf gift cards while they were there for the taking!

It's been a while since I've shared a card and this is a great one to catch up with! I created this using a sentiment stamp from the Haunt It collection from The Project Bin.
A clean and simple background that I created using some watercolors is all it took thus allowing the witch on her broom stick to stand out! The odd sequins and sequin star add to the night sky.
You will see from this close up picture that the background isn't quite as washed out as the overall picture makes it look. There is a fair amount of color and the clean water splashes on top of the color create a faded star look for the starry night sky.
Sometimes you meet that special person who just gets you. Who you can go weeks without talking to and yet when you meet up to scrapbook or have lunch, you just resume right where you left off. That special friend who you don't have to explain why did what you did or how you felt because she knows. Just as you know the same of her. There aren't many people like this that you connect with. When you do, you need to thank them for that special connection. And I have just the card for it thanks to The Project Bin and a sentiment stamp from the #bff stamp set.

I completely missed the opportunity to share a Christmas layout with you apropos of Christmas in July... However I did mostly create the layout in July! So I'm going to share it with you anyway. And, as the sentiment on the The Project Bin stamp I used says; Christmas isn't just a day, it's a state of mind! And I was certainly in a Christmas state of mind as I created this layout! The sentiments in the "Maybe Christmas" collection are rather festive and one can't help but hum Christmas carols as one is creating. And subsequently have the whole household singing Christmas carols and wondering why on earth they are singing Christmas carols in July!! :)
As you have seen me do in the past with The Project Bin stamps, I stamped in two colors; the sentiment itself in the red and the owner of the sentiment (Kris Kringle) in black, on a Basic Grey sticker tag. I like to break the sentiments up so that there is a flow to them. Using two different inks or "surfaces" are ways of accomplishing such tasks. What you cannot tell from either of the pictures is that I traced over the word "Christmas" with a Wink of Stella clear pen for a little added pizzaz. The subtle shimmer looks superb with the twinkle in my sons eye and the other golden shimmer found through out the page.
In addition to this fantastic sentiment from The Project Bin, I also used the Christmas On Market Street collection from My Mind's Eye. I absolutely love this collection. Every year there is a My Mind's Eye collection that just grabs me, this is the one from 2015. I love that the reds and greens are of a different hue than is traditional. The threads of gold through out the collection are fantastic too.

I used some Simple Stories Summer Vibes collection paired with this awesome sentiment from the Summer Fun collection; Life is better in Flip Flops. Cos it is yo!! I cannot wait to get my feet back in some flip flops. With all the rain we have had here in Virginia, my flip flops would be floating by now...
Those circles are actually acetate that are exclusive to the collection kits. I love the window into the card that they created with a few embellishments here are there.
So that when the card is closed all the way, it appears to be a white background. Fun, eh?

It's that time of year again when seniors don their gowns and mortarboards, proudly march down aisle to receive or confer an academic degree or diploma. There are many a proud parent, sibling or grandparent in the crowd, shedding a tear or two as they reminisce the journey from diapers to college. While we don't have any graduates this year, the young lady who drives the kids to and from practice for me during the summer, her graduation in fast approaching.
The focal point of this graduation card is a sentiment stamp from The Project Bin from the Wise Women stamp set. While it doesn't directly say graduation or congratulations, it's a much more personal commentary of this momentous occasion. The sentiment is embossed so as to be able to use the gold mist that gives the idea of the world without having the mist smudge the sentiment.
I know you have heard me gush and carry on about these stamps. They truly are fantastic! To be able to create cards with unique sentiments or layouts with great support subtitles and not have to build it with single letter stamps is just a treat! The latest stamp set to be released by The Project Bin is called Anchors Away! As the name aptly suggests, this is perfect for the sailor in your life! Today I would like to share a gift bag that I created using my Silhouette with a sentiment from this great stamp set.
These would make cute gift bags for a sailing themed birthday party, don't you think? Or even a goodie bag for a friend about to set off on a cruise or a sailing excursion! There was really nothing to the creation of this and the unique stamp phrases from The Project Bin make it so easy to put together unique gifts, cards and other papercrafting projects.
Clean, easy stamping! Love these stamp sets!! And truly, the sentiments really make them even better. Denise has grown the shop quite a bit since opening it up and there are good number of themes to choose from! If you haven't already, I do suggest you take a peek. You won't be disappointed!

Today I am back to card creations with a stamp as my sentiment. I am a bit of a shoe snob but not in your traditional sense of the phrase. I am not the snob that has a pair of shoes for each outfit but rather, I'm incredibly particular about the shoe that is on my foot. I have boat feet and finding shoes that fit properly, are flattering (when one has such huge feet) and is comfortable for all the standing that I do at work is no easy feat. I tend to stick with Dansko's and Keen's. Not much variety outside of those two brands.
This stamped image from the "Wise Women" stamp set is embossed! Can you believe how crisp and clean that fine, cursive font is and it's embossed? It's not often that you find such a crisp image in a stamp, never mind when you emboss it! Seriously, this is good stuff right here!
I was working on a layout with flowers and this fun paper from My Mind's Eye. I thought the scraps I hadn't used on the layout would make a great card. The work wonderfully with this sentiment for a feminine touch!

Sometimes simple is best. Let the sentiment say it all and let the idea of the image suggest the details. That's what this card is all about. Denise from The Project Bin has released a few new stamp sets and you will not be disappointed with the latest releases! The sentiments are fantastic. And the titles of these sets are a hoot too! Today's sentiment comes from the Wise Men stamp set. Wise men! Cracks me up!
I split the stamp into a three bits; the arched bit above the road sign, "the road" on the sign and "take it" below. It was easy to do blocking the stamp off. The only embossed part of the sentiment is "the road" on the road sign. I could have easily embossed all three parts but I liked the roughness of the direct stamping on the kraft cardstock.
I played with a forked road to put in behind the road sign but it became rather busy and you lost the focus on the sentiment. With the road sign in the grass, there is more of an illusion that you are at that euphemist fork in the road. I used my Silhouette Cameo and a digital cut file from the Silhouette store, the Project Bin stamp and some Distress ink around the edge of the card. That's it. Super simple yet effective in conveying the message.
No patterned paper, just cardstock! And a fork in the road! I'm loving these stamps! Have you checked them out? If you were to get your hands on a stamp set, which would you choose? I don't think I could choose just one!
