Imaginisce: Childhood Memories Release Party!!

Imaginisce is releasing another amazing new collection this week! The bright, vibrant colors and fun elements just grab you and "make you lose your mind". I could literally create with just this collection for months and not tire of it! This week the design team gets to share with you the layouts we created using Childhood Memories!

The bubbles were the first thing that really caught my eye from this collection. I love the tree houses and the Polaroid camera but the bubbles had me at first glance!

I wanted the layout to be filled with circles to mimic the bubbles floating in the breeze. So I cut with my Silhouette, stamped using one of the many accompanying stamps to the collection, used my iRock and some matching bling and other circle elements.

The stamping is subtle, it's there. I wanted just a hint. Kind of reflects the delicacy of the bubbles. Some Imaginisce foam dots added dimension to the fun stickers.

Isn't that little bird adorable? There are a few of them in this collection. Even if you don't have kids, there are plenty of "b side" patterns and other elements that you could use.

Next up, I created a layout of Nikolas on his scooter. It's become a little competitive around here about who has what layouts and which blog or magazine they were featured on/in... Need to make sure both kids get equal blog time!

There's that little birdie again! This one is in amongst the clouds.

I love fonts. (shhh... I have a small problem). And I was determined to find the fonts to use with my Silhouette. Find them I did. And I have a million titles that match the fun phrases Imaginisce uses with this collection. But "scootin" as created with the corresponding font just didn't stand out on the busy background or look right. So I went with plan B.

Believe 2012

Sharing a Christmas layout today. Just because. No design work. No challenge. Just me having fun with my paper and scissors. AND my Cameo. When the Fed Ex guy delivered it, he didn't even have to walk to the door. I was standing at the end of the driveway with my arms extended!

I love this picture of Mia! My little elf and her beloved snowglobe!... I like the 12x8 picture that expands the length of the layout as well. Good pictures must be enlarged! I did trim it down. I wanted more space to put goodies.

A cut file that I got when everything was 50% off. Why didn't I buy more? Oh right, because I didn't have the Cameo yet and didn't know how totally addicted I would become!! I embelllished it (that funny to me, embellishing and embellishment) with the bell and fern punch and a felt bow die cut from Martha Stewart.

Some American Craft die cuts with a cutting that I made on my very own!! A few You Tube videos later and I'm an expert and putting text on a path and creating my own files. If I did this right, you can have the SVG file - Merry Christmas!!  Download Merry and Bright by Suzanna Lee.

And what layout wouldn't be complete with a little Elle's Studio love?! I hand cut the hexagons... Somethings are just best done by hand, the old fashioned way.

Speaking of old fashioned... I went to the DMV today. I had to renew my drivers license. I couldn't believe how easy it was! I was expecting to sit and get a good chunk of reading in while I waited. Nope, marched right on up to the counter. I didn't even have time to fill out the form before being called. I could have done it online and paid 5 less dollars but there's about being there... Now my Physical Therapy license renewal, THAT will be done online, later today.
