Trick or Treat Smell My Feet / Practical Scrappers Blog Hop

Trick or Treat! Happy Halloween! Welcome to the October 2014 Practical Scrappers "Scrap Your Stash" Blog Hop! Today the ladies and I are sharing fall or Halloween themed projects with you. You ought to have come here from my friend Christine's blog. If not, please head to the Practical Scrappers blog and work your way here.

Today I have a Halloween layout to share with you created using Bella Blvd's Halloween collection from last year, Trick or Treat. I have a **small** problem with Bella Blvd... I kinda hoard these collections. I use them, you can see that from my blog, but I make sure that there is plenty in reserve! Just in case. You never know when you might need it!

I'm not usually one to use A LOT of "stuff" on my layouts. I like the embellishments to be suport to the picture and theme of the layout. Yet somehow, for this picture, there was a need for goodies. Lots of goodies. Perhaps mimicing the energy of the kids, about to head out and gather their loot!

I love the colors that Bella Blvd uses! The teal and yellow with the traditional black, orange and green and occasional purple really pop off the page. And guess what? Not a lick of cardstock on there! Can you believe it?!

Practical Scrapper's August Blog Hop /

The end of the month nears and that means time for another Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hope with Practical Scrappers!! You should have arrived here via Wendi's blog. If you haven't, please head over to the Practical Scrappers blog and work your way here.

Old patterned paper + old pictures + old stuff = great memories! Every day I spend with these three truly is a gift, a blessing and, as the quote up there says "a memory to treasure". It doesn't matter what product you have, just use it! Old or new, it doesn't really matter when it comes to preserving your families adventures or daily events. Just make sure you're recording those moments!

I love mixing and matching my fonts for titling. Those aqua colored stickers from American Crafts are fantastic! They are a bit opaque and make me think of the translucency of water. I also love titles with play on words or something a bit smart, smart alecy smart. "Beautiful" or "Be You", while I have used them, and a few times more than I care to admit, don't require much thought. I like my titles to be unique when I can conjure up something!

Some of the speech bubbles are fussy cut from the American Crafts patterned paper that was the "conceptualization central" of this layout. Some are stamps. Other's are shapes I hand cut into speech bubbles and filled with sentiments using Kaiser Craft stamps or other bits and bobs.

Practical Scrappers Scrapping Our Stash June Blog Hop

Hi there and welcome to the lastest edition of the Practical Scrappers "Scrapping Our Stash" blog hop! So glad you could join us!! You should have hopped your way here from Deborah's blog, if not, be sure to begin at the Practical Scrappers blog and work your way here. I'm the little red caboose, closing things out for the hop!

Today I am sharing a double page layout created using an old, old manufacturer who, sadly, is not longer around; Collage Press. I got the collection pack in a kit club run by another non-enity, my local scrapbook store, Memories Galore.

I have saved and saved these papers for a special occasion. Oddly enough, the maps that I really liked and hoarded the kit for were not what I wound up using. Funny how things work out, eh?

A little Basic Grey lace and Jenni Bowlin goodness are the perfect compliment, working well with the color scheme and digging deep into my stash. I believe that Basic Grey is from 2009! These pictures are from 2010...

Oldies but goodies! It's fun to blow off the cobwebs and see what you have hidden in the depths of your stash. Things that you have saved, knowing someday when the new has worn off, you will find a good use for them!

There Is No Place Layout / Practical Scrappers Scrap Your Stash!

Welcome to the MAY (yes, May!) edition of the Practical Scrappers Scrap your Stash Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Marcia's blog. If not, be sure to begin at the Practical Scrappers blog HERE and work your way through the list.

If you've been by before, you know the name of the game. If not, here's the deal; BUST your stash! Each of us is sharing a project with you today that has been created using items in our stash. Nothing from the lastest CHA releases.

I am sharing with you today a layout created from the Bella Blvd All American collection. It's also another of my re-purposed collections. A sports layout created using an Independence Day/July 4th collection. It's easy to do for us as our team colors are red and blue!

I'm know to fussy cut some of the elements in the patterned paper and pop dot them for a little dimension. Couldn't leave you hanging!

The sentiment on this card originally said "There's no place like the USA" which might be true but this layout is about Mia at the pool so, of course, I had to modify somewhat, make it work for the layout.
