Ball Handler

Until my much anticipated new product arrives from TaDa, you are stuck with some tried but true old favorites!! Jock Jams was one of the first collections I ever bought from TaDa. And still one I go back to time and again for my sports layouts.

I used circle punches and dies to cut bits and pieces from Game On and All Star to create the bouncing movement across the page. Need to work sparingly with this line as there are a few papers that are sold out!!

This close up allows you to see the finer detail that is unappreciable in the bigger shot. The reverse misting that adds a bit of a feminine touch. Very subtle and easy to mist. I mean, miss! I had used this mask for another layout and decided to flip it onto another piece of paper. Why waste all that good mist? I love the tone on tone subtlty there!

Young Man

TaDa!! TaDa this young man is growing up and I am so proud of the person he is becoming, the choices he is making and the compassion he has. The Just Chillin' collection is perfect to showcase this picture of Nikolas at Maymont on Boxing day. My full TaDa post is over HERE, be sure to check it out!

Shy of the buttons, ribbon and sequins, this layout is exclusively TaDa. I made the embellishment cluster from paper and two of the re-positionable stickers in no time. I had to cut the white from around the orange sticker as the brightness really clashed with the grungy feel of the page. But it was so easy to do with the vinyl sticker!

Thursday is the full reveal of the new collections that TaDa is releasing so be sure to pop on over to the blog. The papers are already up. Thursday we get to see the rest of the deal; stickers, laser cuts, Snippets and Clippets and stamps!! I can't wait!! That Poolside collection is gonna get a lot of use from this here scrapper!!

Christmas Dinner

TaDa!! Another fabulous layout put together using TaDa product. One of the (many) really cool things about TaDa product is that they keep colors similar across lines making it easy to mix and match! The versatilitly of a single line itself is endless but then throw in another line and Oh My Goodness! The possibilities!!

I created this layout to showcase the ONLY picture from Christmas last year with all seven of us in it. Sitting around the dinner table on Christmas night. Some of us, actually, all of us with the exception of Mummy, wearing our party hats from our Christmas crackers. All four generations. A special picture...

I used some "old" papers from an older collection called Fa La La La La including those awesome snowflake die cuts (LOVE 'em!!) and the main background green is a piece of Rinky Dink from one of the latest collections called Frozen Tozen. There is even one of the awesome repositionable stickers from Frozen Tozen.

A great memory documented! All thanks to TaDa!!

Giving Thanks

Yes, yes, I know! Thanksgiving was a feel weeks ago! Nope, not confused...

With all the giving that occurs at Christmas, I wanted to have unique thank you cards handy and available to acknowledge those really special gifts. I have been using up Christmas and wintery scraps to make individual thank you cards. Today's share uses some left over TaDa from the Frozen Tozen line with a piece of embossed cardstock that I inked around the edges.

Just to add that special little touch, I added a touch of pizzaz with Stickles on a few of the snowflakes and there you go!!

I love that this isn't your traditional Christmas thank you card. Nor the traditional patterns or colors that one sees everywhere during this time of year. Yet still has that cool, festive feel to it!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

It's my turn to post on TaDa again! I know that not many visitors will pop by on this day of food, fun and festivities but hey! I love that TaDa is so easy to create with and still look like you put a lot of effort into the creation of the layout. The Snippets and Clippets really make it that easy yet sophisticated.

The texture of the embossing folders and distress Stickles really add to the feel of this layout as well as the distress ink and sanding of the elements.

Giving Thanks

It's my turn to post over on the TaDa blog today. I created a layout using the Bountiful Blooms collection to document our annual Turkey day family picture from last year. Be sure to check it out HERE!

We had fun playing with the camera remote to get this picture. As you can see, the adults were much more into this annual tradition than the kids were... They were grateful when it was over!! Looking at the layout here on the blog post, I think it might look better with a sepia tone picture than the black and white... I really ought to stand over my layouts more often. Our upclose perspective as we work on them doesn't always allow for the bigger and sometimes better view of them.

I love TaDa's laser cuts. They were the thing about TaDa that drew me to them in the first place. Followed by the fun colors and patterns in the papers. All of which are showcased here.

 

 

XYZ

TaDa!! I clearly an quite in love with the Big Top collection by TaDa as I use it A LOT. Today's layout, also up on FB, features that. Not only does it feature TaDa but more of my latest obsession, misting. I cut ran the whole alpha plate through my Big Shot. Before removing each letter, I slid the whole thing on the cardstock and removed the backing, leaving each letter on the cardstock. And that Maya Road zipper was the perfect embellie, don't you think?

Nikolas is notorious for not doing up his fly. And I, being the keeper of memories, had to make a record of his absent memory. I was unable to be sneaky enough to get candid photos so I just had him pull up his shirt one day. It served a second purpose, hopefully to call attention to this small yet BIG detail he is omiting. He was amused!

Oh, and my other little obsession on my pages, sewing. Got some of that in there too.

Oops! Just noticed a grammatical error there! Guess it off sets his foible, eh? LOL!!

Ticket To Ride

TaDa! THE absolute quickest layout I have EVER done in my life. Seriously. It's up at the TaDa blog over here. Not only did it come together lickety split but it has a supplies list numbering 4 supplies! Never. Ever. In my scrappy life has that happened.

What seriously took the most time was lining up those Imaginesce gems and heat setting them! Everything else just literally fell into place. Thirty minutes, tops for this layout. Record breaking, I'm telling you!

BTW, my friend Kim has mentioned on several occasions that she is having significant difficulty commenting on my blog. In fact, she is downright unable to. Anybody else having the same problem? Guess you couldn't tell me in the comments section though, eh? If you could kindly leave me a FB message or e-mail, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

 

Scrappy Biz

TWO things to share today!! I rarely have two separate events on one day! Today I have a card up at Sketch Support and a layout for TaDa on FB.

Allison's card sketch this week is super inspirational. I am not a card gal. You know that, I know that, we ALL know that. But you know it's a GREAT sketch when this anti-card maker makes cards!! LOL!! I made a card! Crazy, I know. You can pick your jaw up off the ground now! It is ground breaking news though! Be sure to check out the other fantastic cards the other gals have done over HERE.

It's been a while since I've used my embossing folders. Think I might need to bring them to the front (or top!) of the scrappy desk for increased visual reminder of their existence. I love the texture that the embossing provides as a background for the card!

This picture is from our visit with Linda, AKA G'Ma, Michael's Mom, last year. I used the Frozen Tozen collection for this layout. You wouldn't know that was a winter collection if I hadn't told you based on that layout alone. Pretty nifty, eh? I love that burlap behind the picture! And the laser cut behind it! I think the TaDa laser cuts are truly my favorite single product from TaDa. It's all good but the laser cuts are particularly good!!
