I have been working on a travelers notebook collaboration with my scrappy pal Simone where we have been showing you how you can "scale it down" in do some memory keeping on a smaller scale in your travelers notebook. It's more portable, takes less "goodies" yet equally as effective for preserving memories and serving as therapy. Today is part 2 of the stamping segment of our series. Simone is on vacation so I invited a special guest to join me. Be sure to head over Desiree's YouTube channel and see how she incorporated stamping into her TN.
Stamping is a great way of minimizing bulk in a book that can really only expand so far without pushing the seams too much but getting a lot of pizzazz. Had I used a label here instead of the stamp, the letter tiles would be that little bit further off the page. And while it doesn't seem like much, it all adds up.
Stamps make great border layers too! It's not obvious but that stamp runs the whole length of the page between the black and white stripe and the pink floral.
I could have used another floral sticker in the corner here but by stamping with a complimentary flower stamp, it is less bulky on the page. You can also see how I stamped the title and was able to customize and match the colors specifically to the patterned papers I used.
Should you want to see how to stamp in your Travelers Notebook be sure to check out this process video as well as the one from two weeks ago where I stamped a border on the edge of the page of my notebook with tips on how you too can do that!
